Hill Highway
The State Highway 59 (SH-59) is the longest state highway in Kerala The proposed highway extends from Nandarapadavu in Kasaragod district to Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram district, will have a length of 1332.1km and will pass through 13 of the 14 districts , the exception being Alappuzha as that district, the exception being Alappuzha as that district is not part of the hilly rages of Kerala. The excepted outlay for the project is 1,500 crore.
The idea of a highway through Kannur and nearby districts hill areas to improve market access of farmers was first mooted by Joseph who formed Kasaragod hill area development committee. I am blessed to visit through these area to make photograph to be present with the some sort of history which ever known and through research things founded.
